Description

This is a 1/2" drive twist screw / lug‑nut extractor set for loosening seized, rounded or damaged nuts and bolts in common wheel and fastener sizes. The sockets use an internal spiral profile that bites into the damaged fastener under torque so you can remove it when standard hex sockets no longer grip.

Basic details

  • Product name: 6PCS TWIST SOCKET SET 1/2"

  • Model / symbol: YT‑06032

  • Drive size: Standard 1/2" square (12.7 mm) hand‑tool drive

  • Number of pieces: 6 (5 twist sockets + 1 punch bar)

  • Material: High‑quality chromium‑molybdenum steel (CrMo)

  • Surface finish: Oxidized / blackened for increased corrosion resistance

Sizes and contents

The set is specifically described as:

  • 5 twist sockets: 17 mm, 19 mm (often also marked 3/4"), 21 mm, 22 mm, 27 mmtrodo+3

  • 1 drift / punch bar: Ø12 mm for knocking stuck nuts/bolts out of the sockets after removal

Some retailers list the mid‑size range as 17/19/21/23/27 mm rather than 22 mm, but the official Yato and distributor descriptions specify 17–22–27 mm coverage. Either way, the kit is intended to handle the typical wheel‑nut and large bolt sizes between 17 and 27 mm.

How the twist sockets work

  • The internal spiral cutting profile wedges into the rounded or corroded nut when torque is applied, giving a positive grip for removal.

  • After removal, the included Ø12 mm punch is used from the rear of the socket to push the stuck nut or bolt head back out.

  • They are designed as removal tools only; using them to install new fasteners would damage the nut surface.

Typical applications

  • Removing damaged or locking wheel nuts on cars and light commercial vehicles when the original key is missing or the hex has rounded off.

  • Extracting seized, rusted or rounded nuts and bolts in general mechanical and automotive service work.

  • Intended for use with hand tools (breaker bar or ratchet) rather than high‑torque impact guns, to avoid damaging the extractor teeth.
